about ALS! This years first pep rally was dedicated to amyotrophic lateral
sclerosis (ALS), teachers and students were lined up with their buckets ready
to be soaked in ice-cold water.
Administrators
and class presidents informed the audience about what ALS actually is and how
it works. Participators wore ALS shirts that helped fund the foundation.
After
the educational introduction was given there was a performance by the
Manatee Sugar Canes who amazed students with numerous jumps, flips, kicks,
and splits. The cheerleaders also showed off their red and blue, representing
MHS with their school spirit.
