Last week,
Manatee (3-1) made it three straight with a 38-3 rout of Sarasota. Southeast
(1-3) won for the first time this season, blanking Bayshore, 14-0, in a Class
5A-District 13 contest.
This is
not the knock-down-drag-’em out battle it has been in the past. This is not two
coaching legends – Manatee’s Joe Kinnan and Southeast’s Paul Maechtle
– matching wits on the opposite sidelines. This is not Tommie Frazier, Peter
Warrick, Ace Sanders, Mike Jenkins or Adrian McPherson.
